UEFA are to visit the candidate countries for the second time

On Thursday, 9th November, UEFA delegates are to visit Ukraine for the second time, where they are going to meet the Polish-Ukrainian team working on the Bid. Italy is also expecting UEFA visit. Meanwhile the officials completed their visit to Croatia. The main topic of the repeated meeting with the candidates is the issue of ensuring safety and security during the European Football Championships UEFA EURO 2012. In Croatia the officials were much impressed by the joint Croatia-Hungary bid – The Associated Press stated. On Monday UEFA visited Zagreb. Marc Timmer, UEFA's official in charge of stadiums and security, said the group was "impressed" by what they saw and heard in Croatia. ZAGREB, Croatia: UEFA officials were impressed with Croatia's bid to host the 2012 European Championship. The officials, making their second visit to the bid countries, were in Zagreb on Monday. Croatia is bidding with neighboring Hungary to host the continental championship, and faces challenges from Italy and a joint Poland-Ukraine bid. After meetings in Zagreb, the UEFA officials are to visit Italy, Poland and Ukraine.
