TP handed certificate to UEFA

The official certificate with collected signatures was handed to UEFA delegates at the Old Market in Poznań. At the moment of handing over the certificate by Telekomunikacja Polska 14,425 signatures proving support of the Poles for EURO 2012 were collected.

Since 25th August Telekomunikacja Polska runs the campaign of collecting signatures of support for hosting finale of the European Football Championships EURO 2012 by Poland and Ukraine. The campaign was started in Gdańsk, where at the Old City almost 2 thousand signatures were collected in two days. The next cities collected even higher number of signatures during following weekends: Kraków - 3088, Wrocław - 4165, Chorzów - 2245, Poznań - 3115.

Now, it is Warsaw’s turn. The campaign organizers want to cross the limit of 20 thousand signatures collected in these cities.

However, the Poles should be keen on submittal of higher number of signatures to show UEFA the most wide-spread support for EURO 2012. Because of this, the campaign regarding collection of signatures will be conducted through the website e2012.org until 7th December, and on 8th December - the day of proclamation of the UEFA contest winner - right before the moment of truth for Poland and Ukraine, we will be able to show the highest possible support of citizens and football fans all over Europe for hosting EURO 2012 in our countries.

At present, candidature of Poland and Ukraine is supported by signatures submitted by citizens of e.g. Germany, Czech Republic, Russia, Belarus, the United Kingdom, the United States of America and Canada.
