EURO 2012: meeting with UEFA
On Monday, late in the evening the UEFA delegation visiting Gdańsk met with the former President of the Republic of Poland, Lech Walesa. The guests promised that Poland will receive additional points for support of such famous person.
The dinner was started around 10 p.m. - said to PAP Kamil Wnuk, the spokesman of EURO 2012 Project Staff – this meeting was very impressive for UEFA delegates. They were talking about it today, at breakfast and announced that we will receive additional points for support of such a famous Pole. This dinner empowered our image; the guests from UEFA were ascertained that we really want to be the host of championships.
The UEFA delegation stays in Poland since Sunday. In the framework of the second stage of rivalry for hosting of EURO 2012, the UEFA delegation is visiting four Polish cities, potential hosts of tournament - Warsaw, Gdańsk, Poznań and Wrocław. On Wednesday’s morning it will move to Lvov.
