Yushchenko has rewarded the National Team
By the Presidents’ decree № 697 "About decorating with state orders" from 19th of August, 2006, "for high sports achievements, demonstrated at the World Football Championship, which took place in Germany, for revealed courage, selflessness, desire for victory and strengthening of the international image of Ukraine", President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko rewarded Oleg Blokhin, chief couch of the National team of Ukraine, and Grygoriy Surkis, President of the Football Federation of Ukraine, member of the UEFA Executive Committee, member of the FIFA National Associations’ Committee, with the Yaroslav the Wise order of V degree, and the National team of Ukraine with the order "For courage" of III degree. Rewards were also given to other employees of the Football Federation of Ukraine.
Ivan Fedorenko, First Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Director of the Executive Committee EURO 2012, was rewarded with the order "For merits" of III degree.
Let be reminded that during the last World Championship in Germany Ukrainian team has got to the list of 8 the best National teams in the world.
