Poznań promotes EURO 2012 jointly with "GW"

Since yesterday the City Office of Poznań and the Wielkopolskie Football Association jointly with Poznań branch of "Gazeta Wyborcza" daily (Agora SA) have been carrying out a campaign promoting Poznań as a co-host of the European Football Championships– EURO 2012. The campaign will last until the end of the year.

So far six backlights have been put up on Poznań streets with the slogan "I support hosting European Championships in Poznań!". Starting from 15 July the advertisements will appear on billboards, citylights and buses. – We are hoping the U-19 European Football Championships starting on 18th July in Wielkopolska will enhance interest in our actions – says Remigiusz Koziński, the head of promotion in Poznań branch of "Gazeta Wyborcza".

Poland bids to host championships in 2012 jointly with Ukraine, and the U-19 championships will be attended by many UEFA representatives, who will later, in December, make the decision on the fate of the Poland-Ukraine bid.
