Executive directorate has paid a visit to Lviv

On Wednesday, 7th of June, the Executive directorate for preparation of the joint Bid of Poland and Ukraine to host the European Football Championship 2012 has visited Lviv, one of the cities, proposed for hosting the group matches of the European tournament.
 
In the building of the Lviv Regional State Administration the joint meeting of the Executive directorate EURO 2012, with directors of the leading hotels in Lviv in the presence of Chief Deputy of State Tourism and Resorts Service Taras Demura had place. The participants of the meeting, headed by the First Chief Deputy of the Lviv Regional State Administration Valeriy Pyatak, discussed the preparation level of the Lviv hotel economy for the UEFA inspectors visits, conditions of agreements’ signing between UEFA and hotels, planned for accommodation of teams, sponsors, judges for the period of the tournament.

During the meeting Ivan Fedorenko assured everybody that in case of the proper preparation and provision of the hotel economy, chances of Ukraine and Poland to win are real. Properly and professionally prepared Bid Dossier of Ukraine and Poland of the first and second phases, as well as successful presentations of our candidature at the UEFA Congress in Budapest, and at the official ceremony of the Bid Dossier Handover at the UEFA head-quarter in Nyon prove this.

Ivan Fedorenko pointed out that positive experience of the European Football Championship in Portugal is a good example of social and economical advantages, which European tournament can bring to a country: hotel infrastructure development, new stadiums, roads, airports, new jobs, tourism development, as well as promotion of our country abroad.

- We have got full and unconditional support of the President, of all the active political parties and we got all the necessary guarantees from the Government. Everything else will depend on desire and hard work of each of the hosting cities, – Mr. Fedorenko concluded.
