The hotels are getting ready to host guests

On Monday, June the 5th, the working group for preparation and organization of the joint Bid of Ukraine and Poland for the right to host the final part of the European Football Championship 2012 had a joint meeting with directors of the main hotels in Kyiv. The meeting was headed by the Director of the Executive directorate FFU EURO 2012 Іvan Fedorenko. The participants discussed preparation level of the capital hotels economy for the UEFA inspector’s visits, which are expected in the middle of this summer, as well as the conditions of the agreements’ signing between UEFA and the hotels to meet all the Union of European Football Associations requirements for accommodation of teams, sponsors, judges, and placement of the UEFA head-quarter.

Іvan Fedorenko informed the present public about the social and economical advantages of the European Championship hosting in our state. He addressed the directors of the hotels with the request to help the organizational committee with the social business of great importance, namely to agree with the UEFA conditions concerning the establishment of the average prices (taking into consideration index of the consuming prices) for the period of the Tournament, and encouraged everybody to make proposals to the 2012 Law project.

According to Mr. Grytsyk, there are no problems with tourists accommodation in Kyiv; 10 five star hotels are planned for construction, a students’ campus for 10000 places is under construction already, the program of small hotels and infrastructure development, which includes the construction and renovation of approximately 70 small hostels, is being developed, the question of the appropriate training for stewards and volunteers, fluent in foreign languages, is taken into consideration.

In the near future the Executive directorate EURO 2012 is planning to pay visits to each of the hosting cities in order to organize similar meetings.
