Lobanovsky Tournament has ended with victory of Israel
ІV Lobanovsky International Tournament 2006 has ended with victory of the National Youth team of Israel. At the final match they scored two times and proved their predominance over Belarusian team. The pupils of Oleksiy Myhaylychenko, having bitten Moldavian team, got “bronze” at the end. Now they are going to Portugal for the final part of the European Football Championship 2006.
The final match came out very dynamic. Both teams created dramatic situations. Due to the great job of Israeli defense, Byelorussians lost their slightest chance to score. In the second period Israeli team used two wonderful opportunities and found its way to the victory.
It is worth mentioning that last year Israeli National Youth team was less successful and lost to Poland, with the score 3:2.
Starting with this tournament, Ukraine has launched its Promotional campaign in support of the joint Bid of Poland and Ukraine to host the Final Football Tournament EURO 2012.
