Dziennik: Over 500 football pitches to be created in Poland

Over 500 football pitches for children and youth are to be created by 2012. The Ministry of Sport jointly with PZU Group inaugurated the program "A pitch nearby". 100 facilities will be constructed by the end of this year.

Tomasz Lipiec, the Minister of Sport, stressed that pitches will be created in such places where as many children as possible can take advantage of them, e.g. in estates of apartment blocks and small towns.

Each facility will be illuminated, fenced and open at any time, even on holidays. The pitches will be covered with a modern synthetic surface.
