Review of Polish press

Today the Polish staff is going to announce the requirements to be met by the cities wishing to host participants of EURO 2012. So far over 60 Polish cities submitted their applications as candidates.

- I think that we will propose 20-30 places to UEFA. Before their final placement on a special list, they will be visited by Federation delegates. In the autumn 2011 individual teams will select the best places for themselves – explained Adam Olkowicz of the Polish Football Association. (Gazeta Wyborcza)

Members of the Voivodeship Organizing Staff for EURO 2012 met today at the first meeting. Antoni Piechniczek, the honorary chairman of the staff, appealed for intensification of promotional actions for the benefit of aspirations of Silesia to host the tournament. (Rzeczpospolita, Puls Biznesu)

A state enterprise, responsible for implementation of EURO 2012 projects, is to be established soon in Ukraine. This inter-ministerial enterprise will make decisions on location of sport facilities and infrastructure required for the event to be carried out. (Nasz Dziennik)
