A coalition of Polish and Ukrainian employers has been established

Establishment of the Coalition of Polish and Ukrainian Employers for EURO 2012 has been announced today at the Polish Embassy in Kiev. Its founders are representatives of employers’ confederations of both countries - Andrzej Malinowski, the President of the Confederation of Polish Employers and Anatolij Kinach, the President of the Ukrainian Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Union, who is at the same time the Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

The meeting was hosted by Jacek Kluczkowski, the Polish Ambassador to Ukraine. Participants of the meeting included also Grigorij Surkis, the President of the Ukrainian Football Federation, and Adam Olkowicz, the President of the Team of Polish Football Association for EURO 2012.

The main task of the coalition will be to support the Organizing Committees for EURO 2012 in Poland and Ukraine. The Coalition will also aim at promotion of the tournament and its effective use for development of economy and entrepreneurship in both countries. Cooperation between the governments and employers of both countries is necessary.

First of all the Coalition intends to support the projects that will serve the following purposes:
 - development and modernization of the transport infrastructure;
 - expansion of the accommodation base;
 - expansion of the restaurant base,
 - construction of the sport infrastructure;
 - expansion and modernization of the urban infrastructure;
 - promotion of Poland and Ukraine worldwide.

The Coalition will soon commence promotional activities targeted at European media with the aim of:
- eradicating stereotypes and prejudices.
 - building of the awareness and importance of both countries among citizens of Europe;
 - building of an image of Poland and Ukraine as countries with fast growing markets and big economic potential;
