According to Dziennik daily Elżbieta Jakubiak is likely to replace Przemysław Gosiewski in the Organizational Committee for EURO 2012. Starting from July Elżbieta Jakubiak will coordinate preparations for the European Football Championships. The government declares adoption of a new act on public-private partnership, which would accelerate Poland’s preparations for EURO 2012. After the Friday meeting with representatives of local governments Przemysław Gosiewski said that the government wanted to involve private investors in the investments related to football championships. Members of the Committee for Region’s Development, Promotion and  Foreign Cooperation talked about what must be done for Krakow not to be missing from the list of EURO 2012 hosts. Key investment that the local government of małopolskie voivodeship will apply for include: construction of a northern ring-road of Krakow, a show and sport hall in Krakow-Czyżyna and Wisła stadium.
