The President of Gdańsk appealed to local entrepreneurs for support for the program "We are constructing EURO 2012 school football pitches".

Construction of a completely new airport in Poznań is discussed – admitted Tadeusz Dziuba, the Wielkopolska voivode.

- I am convinced that the greatest problem of the capital city of Wielkopolska in the context of EURO 2012 is the small size of „Ławica” airport and lack of a possibility of its expansion. Therefore we need to consider an option of a completely new airport – Dziuba explains. ( Echo Miasta Poznań)

According to a declaration of Poznań authorities, by 2010 the stadium of Lech Poznań will be completely refurbished to become a fully roofed facility, with an extensible roof, where 50 thousand spectators can watch matches. The refurbishment is to cost approx. PLN 280 million. (Gazeta Prawna)

Authorities of Wrocław changed the plans concerning the construction of the football stadium for EURO 2012. The facility being developed at Maślice will be constructed by Wrocław municipality on its own. Earlier it was planned that the city would give the land for investments to a consortium of companies, which would construct the stadium in exchange. The authorities assessed, however, that the undertaking was too risky. (Gazeta Wyborcza Wrocław)

Authorities of Warsaw allocated PLN 5 million for sport activation of the residents of Warsaw. Beside the stadiums for EURO 2012, they plan construction of 25 sport facilities. The Office for Sport and Recreation developed programs aimed at dissemination of physical culture. In the forthcoming time the city authorities plan to launch such programs as „Open sport facilities”, „Senior – older, fitter” and „ Sport talent”. (Rzeczpospolita, Trybuna)
