Meeting in the Prime Minister’s Chancellery

Today at 11 a.m. a working meeting of the representatives of the government and local governments concerning hosting of EURO 2012 will be held in Prime Minister’s Chancellery.

Jan Dziedziczak, the government’s spokesman, informed that today’s meeting would focus on the legal changes required for acceleration of Poland’s preparations for hosting of EURO 2012. Discussions will also concern progress of works undertaken so far by individual host cities of the championships.

Participants of the meting will include: the deputy prime minister Przemysław Gosiewski, ministers: for regional development - Grażyna Gęsicka, of sport - Tomasz Lipiec, of transport - Jerzy Polaczek and of housing - Andrzej Aumiller. Other invited guests will include presidents of the host cities of EURO 2012, voivodes and representatives of the Polish Football Association.

The spokesman also informed that the forthcoming meeting of the Organizing Committee for EURO 2012 would be held in June.
