Polish fans support EURO 2012

Polish fans and the Polish Football Association (PZPN) appeal for support for Poland and Ukraine bid for the right to host EURO 2012.

On Monday, a meeting between representatives of fan clubs and PZPN bodies of administration was held under the slogan „We are fighting together for EURO 2012”. Fans want to support the Poland and Ukraine efforts in the competition for granting of the right to host the European Football Championships in 2012.

The issues of security in Polish stadiums and initiatives for the benefit of shaping a positive model of football rooting were discussed during the meeting. The participants developed a special appeal and committed themselves to get actively involved in the process of building a unique atmosphere for EURO 2012.

„(...) We showed world class in the way of supporting and behaviour during the World Championships finals in Germany. We want the same to be true about our stadiums and we want a positive opinion about Polish fans to become an advantage that will bring victory to our bid on 18th April 2007. Jointly with PZPN and the entire football community we are undertaking the fight for the right to host EURO 2012. Therefore we appeal for rooting in sporting spirit in Poland and behaviour that is becoming of future hosts of the European Championships.” – the appeal reads.
