Documentation goes to Nyon

Today the delegation of the Executive Directorate EURO 2012 of the Football Federation of Ukraine flew to Nyon (Switzerland). The purpose of the trip is to submit the final documentation complementing the joint Poland/Ukraine bid for EURO 2012. The deadline of the submission of the Bid Dossier is 15th February 2007.

Italy and Croatia/Hungary are also to submit their supplementary documentation. In response to the request from the UEFA, Poles and Ukrainians prepared agreements with host-cities, stadiums and airports, as well as additional information that might reinforce the joint Poland-Ukraine bid.

The documents include the draft law on the organization and staging of the final tournament of the European Football Championship of 2012 in Poland and Ukraine. The draft law will be discussed at Wednesday session of the Ukrainian government.

Additionally our Bid includes logistic solutions for fans mobility, as well as accommodation and medical care for fans in each of the host-cities.

The offer contains the extra guarantee 25, concerning issues of mass events management during the Championships.

The main distinguishing features of the Polish-Ukrainian documentation are the art works resulting from drawing competitions for children held in Poland and Ukraine. The competitions were held under the following topics: "EURO 2012 – a step into the future" in Ukraine and the "Football unifies nations" in Poland.

After submission of additional documents to UEFA headquarters, working groups of Ukraine and Poland will begin the final stage of participation in the tender for the right to host EURO 2012, i.e. preparation and holding of the final presentation of the joint Ukraine-Poland Bid. UEFA will see the presentations on 17th April 2007 in Cardiff (Wales).
