EURO 2012: meeting with UEFA
On 13th and 14th December, commentary workshops and panel discussions devoted to EURO 2012 and management of a modern football club will be held in the building housing the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) at Al. Niepodległości 162.
The panel discussions "EURO 2012 – opportunities and prospects", "How they do it in the West, or football in Western Europe" and the second part of commentary workshops moderated by Dariusz Szpakowski are the main events of the forthcoming FOOTBALL DAYS at the Warsaw School of Economics.
There will be an opportunity to talk about the need to professionalize sport and modern methods of sport promotion with Jerzy Engel, Dariusz Dziekanowski, Roman Kosecki and Piotr Gawron.
On the first day of the event there will be an opportunity to learn about the process of bidding for the rights to host EURO 2012 in Poland and Ukraine. Modern methods for promotion of sport events will be also discussed. Invited guests include: Piotr Gawron, the Director of EURO 2012 Project and representatives of the Ukrainian Embassy. Roman Ludwiczak, the president of Polish Basketball Association, will tell the audience about experiences from preparations for European Basketball Championships in 2009 in Poland.
The discussion about professional management of a modern football club looks equally promising. The event organizers succeeded in inviting outstanding footballers - Dariusz Dziekanowski, Roman Kosecki, Dariusz Kubicki and Maciej Szczęsny as well as the coach Jerzy Engel.
The guests will share their own experiences gained when playing or working for foreign clubs. The main topics of the discussion will include organization of a modern club and modern methods of management in sport.
During the second day, there will be journalist workshops moderated by Dariusz Szpakowski - one of Poland’s most famous sport journalists. This will provide an excellent opportunity for the participants to play the role of a sport commentator. Our guest will share the secrets of how to comment great sport events by providing a "live" commentary on a fragment of a football match.
